Sang-Hoon Kim`s Wave Science Lab
10th Anniversary of the “Best of 2013”
by Technology Review, MIT.
Welcome to the world of the Sang-Hoon Kim's wave science group at the Mokpo National Maritime University, R. O. Korea.
The research areas of the group are physics based material sciences such as metamaterials, optics, acoustics, electronics, and seismology. Civil engineering, ship building, aeronautical engineering, and astronomy are recent focusing areas, too.
We are seeking challenging graduate students from all over the world. There will be some financial support for the graduate students depending on his/her background and qualification.
The undergraduate major of the students are physics, optics, material science, chemistry, chemical engineering, electric and electronic engineering, computer science, mechanical engineering, ship building, aeronautical engineering, civil engineering, nuclear engineering, etc.

Remarks for the artificial seismic shadow zone
We are afraid of the trembling from the bottom. It has been a fateful fear from generation to generation. We sacrifice to the Earth thousands of lives every year not because the earth is deficient of mercy but because our understanding of the Earth is deficient. Earthquake is just a signal from the Earth. As a founder of this theory, I expect with confidence the termination of the sacrificing not by run away from it but by understanding of it. The time is coming for us to hand the fear free world down to our descendants.
